🌿 A Child’s Kind of Romance

It was a quiet Friday evening. My son had just come home, still excited from visiting a friend.
As I was tidying up the room, my phone rang —

“Mom, can you go to my room and turn on the light… then turn it off?”

I was puzzled.
“What for?” I thought. But before I could ask, he called again.

I hurried to his room, flipped the switch, and right away heard his joyful voice through the phone:
“Mom! Did you see me? Can you see my hand? I saw the light in my room turn on!”

He was standing downstairs, looking up at our window.
That light became our secret signal — a little spark between mother and son.

A sudden call, a sudden surprise, a small, innocent act of love.
In his world, even something as simple as a light switch becomes a story full of wonder.
And in mine, being his mom is the sweetest joy of all.
